PATIENT REVIEWS

I've been relying on Dr. Howard for my eye care for 21 years, since attending college in San Diego; even after moving to Orange county 15 years ago. My wife and 7 and 9 year old boys all go with me now! He has always updated his equipment to provide for a state of the art examination and has worked with me to make sure I'm getting what I need. He's been exceptionally patient when fitting me with contacts and over the years has given me countless new types of lenses to try to make sure I have the best vision and comfort possible. I visited the new office for the first time yesterday and it's great and the staff are very accommodating. I've tried a couple of places closer to home, but their technology and treatment did not compare.

Lens Treatments

man wearing glasses in the sunA lens treatment is a special additive that either bonds with the lens, or is built into the lens during the lens manufacturing process. Lens treatments are available as individual additions to lenses, and are also commonly bundled into single lens products for convenience and maximum benefit to your eyes.

Common Lens Coatings & Treatments:

  • UV Protection
The UV rays in sunlight can be harmful to the eyes. Lenses that block 100% UV help to ward off various eye conditions and damage.
  • Scratch Resistant
Scratches on lenses are distracting, plain and simple. And they can interfere with lens performance. Scratch-resistant treatments imbued into the lens surface toughen up the lenses making them more durable.
  • Anti-Reflective
For fashion, comfort and clarity anti-reflective treatments are the way to go. They make the lens nearly invisible, and cut glare from headlights, computer screens and harsh lighting.
